About
About the Pacific Posse
The Pacific Posse was formed out of a longstanding relationship between trusting skippers.
This is season one and we are laying the keel for what this will become and there are endless small tasks to do this.
Unlike most rallies the Pacific Posse does not operate with any set schedules, it is not a race and each skipper makes his/her own decision
When you are ready to commit we are here for you. We are here to give you information so you can decide to push off the dock.
Our mission is to provide participants with facts and data not opinions or advice, for such your friends and family and work colleagues will provide plenty.
Weย provide all participants tools to communicate, and a frame work of how to exchange information
and plan and inform each other in a peer to peer group – no lurkersย – all are participants or prior participants.
In turn participants are asked to inform those who come after them.
All of this takes place under international maritime law
YOUR VESSEL, YOUR CREW, YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
As a group we negotiate discounts, strive to avoid pitfalls and aid when needs arise.
We have voluntary tracking in place. Seminars will become available as vessels decide to take a moment
out of their voyages to convey things which are important.
We strongly recommend you familiarize yourself with OPEN CPN.
Pacific chart accuracy is terrible, some surveys are from the 19th century !
